Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team.
As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of equipment and machinery.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to use both hand and power tools effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment - Diagnose issues and troubleshoot problems - Replace faulty parts and components - Conduct inspections to identify potential problems - Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or similar field - Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools - Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams - Excellent problem-solving abilities - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Duties/
Responsibilities:
Inspect railcars and document noted defects per the AAR Field Manual.
Perform needed repairs based on findings from inspections.
Using a torch, will heat, bend, and cut metal as needed to perform repairs in accordance with AAR Rules.
After proper certification, will make needed welds to railcars in compliance with AAR Rules and Regulations.
After proper training, will perform Air Brake testing in compliance with Publication S-486.
Document repairs on Billing Repair Cards.
Perform inventory and ordering of materials as needed.
Other job duties and responsibilities that arise within the parameters of this position.
